Ariel Gail

Professor Gail S. Goodman, Distinguished Professor of psychology and Director of the Center for Public Policy Research is a professor at the University of California Davis. She was credited with launching modern science's study on the memory of children's eyewitnesses as well as using child victims in court contexts. Professor Goodman is a prolific author, has won numerous awards and grants. She has worked with numerous organizations and government officials across the globe on policy and studies on child victims within the legal system. She serves as a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center of Sacramento County Child Protective Services (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center). Professor Goodman is a member in a variety of professional organizations, like the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman is also a member of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (Founding Member) International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She served as the chief of the American Psychological Society's three divisions that include Division American Psychology Law Society, Division Developmental Psychology and Division Society for Children and Families the Practice and Policy.
